NOTES:

Riding the Crimson Tide

In this episode of Foreplay – Radio Sex Therapy, Laurie Watson and Dr. Adam Mathews talk about a topic that is dreadful to many: periods. The two work to destigmatize this conversation about sex on your period and raise women’s self-esteem about this incredibly normal, natural function and point out the benefits of sex on your period.

Historically, women have been shamed to hide their periods and to feel set apart from society. Laurie and Adam go over these negative themes in society to help create a better understanding of women’s experiences. After that, they shed light on the positive themes to enforce instead, and give practical tips for a happy time of the month for both partners.
